Well... We are well into November now and I wish the weather here in California would act like it... I am ready for rain or coldness...
The kids had a blast at Halloween and we were able to spend much needed time with Aunt Jillian, who recently went to work in a very prestigious law firm in LA. The busy woman took time out of her schedule to go trick-o- treating with us which was really fun... We had one Diamond Castle Barbie (Eva) and One Dalai Lama (Adrian) who got mistaken for a pumpkin once in a while...
The other night I was tell my Step-mom Kathy how happy I was that he kids were finally feeling good and weren't' sick and wouldn't you know it that same night, Adrian came down with a fever and flu-like bug... It reminded me of when I was 14 years old and my sister Kait kept getting sick and no-one could tell what was wrong with her and so I being the God Fearing Christian little girl I was decided to Pray with my mom and I prayed for PATIENCE... Apparently God really does answer those prayers and next thing I knew I was in a hospital bed with Mennengicoccal Meningitis... God has such a wonderful sense of humor... I never pray for patience anymore!! And I will never comment of my children's health anymore either!
The holidays are coming up... I would like sometimes to pretend that they aren't totally and completely crazy and all of it is jelly beans and fudge...(that just sounded yummy right now) but the truth is... The holidays are hard... So this year Patrick and I are trying to find a new tradition. Something that reminds us and our little ones that the holidays are really not all about the gifts and the parties but mostly about how Christ came into this world to SAVE us!! Oh how I needed that and how I need to continually remind myself to live for that! SO I go into this season full of hope and joy!! And no expectations of worldly things... just expectations of a wonderful relationship with a God who treasures me!!!
God Bless to all... The few of you who might read this!!

My Random Diddy on Mommy's!!

Good morning!!

Well... TOday is back to a regular day in the Taufaasau house. I, Carly, stay home and provide childcare for Eva, Adrian and 3 other little ones... So our house is a circus at times to say the least. But it affords me the opportunity to really teach my own kids and see them grow up....
This morning is a particularly loud morning... We have three toddlers fighting over 2 bouncy balls. though I think one toddler doesn't know why he is crying he is continuing to just cry.
It is funny the emotions a toddler has. Much like my own I guess... One minute the world is this bright and cheery wonderful place full of butterflies and flowers and then one thing happens and boom... here come the flood gates... until of course I (or they ) get distracted and then the flowers are colorful again!

I have to say the hardest thing I have encountered in my life so far has been motherhood. It is the most amazing high having your children watching them grow up and learn and being sooo proud of them you feel like there is nothing better. But it is surely exhausting too. It can certainly take a lot out of you... The thing that is hardest to learn is that there is a balance. having to take care of yourself to be able to take care of them. It should be a required thing. It should be a day of the week for mom's. They should get to do free stuff and just be pampered... Seriously! And I have it easy... my kids are happy healthy and for the most part easy!
Anyway enough about my mothering insight for today.

Patrick and I volunteer at our church with the junior high ministry. We attend the weekly youth group and get to know the 7th and 8th graders and it is so much fun. This friday and saturday I am going to be attending a girls youth conference in anaheim called The Revovle Tour. I am so excited about doing this! I love seeing the girls learn about God and get filled with His Glory!
So, hopefully I'll have some fun stuff to talk about after that...

God bless everyone!
